    Official Rules for ALL Platforms
This thread is our official list of rules HOWEVER this list for Skybounds may change at any time, to add or remove statements or overall rules written here. This list will be kept up-to-date and may shift around depending on any new instances that may occur throughout our seasons and with our community.

As our TOS states: The Manager (as well as any management team member) may punish with discretion at any time, and do NOT need to follow the same protocol as staff depending on the situation presented, this includes use of staff also giving these punishments with approval from the Manager if at any time they are not themselves available. If you find any issues with a punishment given to yourself, please make a support ticket to discuss said situation with the Manager.

    Skybounds Official Word Guide
The following sheet is de-sensitive to inappropriate/discriminatory words/definitions and thus may be viewed as upsetting/inappropriate to some users- please only open this sheet if you are willing to.

The sheet explores certain words that can be viewed as inappropriate, limited or discriminatory and thus should help players and staff understand contexts and be aware to what is and isn't allowed:

    Tier 1 Punishments
(TrialMod's can give these punishments to players)

    Admin Alert Mute
    > Used only in emergencies/given approval by a higher-up in case they need to remove a player who is breaking a major offence and no one else is available to get on to handle.
    > #1 - Permanent Mute

    Admin Alert Removal
    > Used only in emergencies/given approval by a higher-up in case they need to remove a player who is breaking a major offence and no one else is available to get on to handle.
    > #1 - Permanent Ban

    Disregarding Language Barrier
    > Being a public server, we welcome players across the world to come join in on the fun. We wholeheartedly understand that a variety of you all may speak different languages, however, Skybounds resides in North America and thus prefers English to be the primary spoken language.

    > Please keep in mind that you may be asked to further your discussions in private chats so that staff may continue to moderate our server platforms as needed. Considering not everyone on the staffing team speaks languages outside of English, we do enforce this rule so that we can continue to monitor the well being of our community.
    > An example would be that you are talking with your German friends, and a lot of players start to talk German, meaning the server can no longer be moderated. Our staff ask you to move to an alternative chat however you and your friends ignore them and continue to spam in German for fun.
    > #1 - Warning
    > #2 - 15m Mute
    > #3 - 30m Mute

    Disregarding Staff Warnings
    > We would like to keep the community free of disrespectful and inappropriate comments. You need to stay aware of how to treat others on our platforms. Speak kindly to each other and treat people how you would like to be treated. General banter is fine but disrespectful behavior is not allowed.

    > This rule goes for our staff and our server platforms, if staff have asked you to either move to pm's, stop causing issues or likewise and you continue to ignore them and break rules- you will be punished.
    > An example would include you being angry at a player and constantly arguing with them in chat, staff ask you both to stop and the other player does- however you keep going to try and get a reaction out of them. You are then refusing to listen to staff, and are wanting to cause more issues thus leading you to be punished.
    > #1 - Warning
    > #2 - 1h Mute
    > #3 - 3h Mute
    > #4 - 12h Mute

    Inappropriate Language
    > Inappropriate Language can be considered either Sexual and explicit talk, excessive swearing or overall inappropriate comments/topics. We are a PG13 server, and whilst we like to allow our community to discuss mature topics (within reason), we must also ensure they do not become too inappropriate for all age ranges that we host to.
    > An example would include you discussing your sexual life, and being rather explicit about it. Any talk on sex, drugs, sensitive topics will be reviewed and either asked to stop discussing or ask to move away from the topic currently being spoken on.
    > #1 - Warning
    > #2 - 15m Mute
    > #3 - 30m Mute

    Spam
    > Spam is defined as sending multiple messages or the same message in a short period of time OR in large amounts. We ask players to not spam chats with the same phrases, long strings of characters or in any other regard, doing this floods the chat and can also take away from the ability of players to have questions answered and makes it difficult for staff to effectively monitor chat.
    > An example is that you are impatient and want people to notice you and so you spam a letter over and over again into a paragraph and ignore staff warnings. If this is causing issues in chat, or staff have asked you to stop and yet you have carried on- you will be punished.
    > #1 - Warning
    > #2 - 15m Mute
    > #3 - 30m Mute

    ===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===
    Tier 2 Punishments
(Mod's can give these punishments to players)

    Discrimination
    > Discrimination can be words, statements or political sayings that can target certain groups of people: gender, race, ethnicity, disability or religion. The most common discrimination we tend to face is race and gender on our server which is immediately removed.

    > Disclaimer:
Even using the discriminatory terms against yourself in chat, is still punishable. We do not want certain terms used as all within our chat, and that is why you can still be punished if you discriminate against yourself.
    > Examples include:
Age Discrimination. Disability Discrimination. Sexual Orientation. Religious Discrimination. National Origin. Race, Color, and Sex.
    > #1 - 3d Mute
    > #2 - 7d Mute
    > #3 - 30d Mute
    > #4 - Perm Mute

    Media Advertisements
    > Advertising any form of video, image or GIF should be kept appropriate.

    > You can send links in game to your video, stream or channel only via pm's. If you want to announce you are streaming, feel free to announce what platform you are streaming on and your name on said platform.
    > An example would include that you are streaming and want to let global chat know. And so you announce that you are ‘streaming skybounds on twitch under the name of QueenRose_!’ < This is allowed. However this is not allowed: ‘Im streaming www.twitch.tv/twilight_rose56!’ And will be punishable, unless you send the link via pm's due to players asking.
    > #1 - Warning
    > #2 - 30m Mute
    > #3 - 1h Mute
    > #4 - 1d Mute

    Scamming Low Offence
    > A player may list an item for an absurd price and lure players into buying the item without looking, often in a rush to buy the item at such a low price. It may also be that a player items a less valuable item that is a replica of a valued, expensive items and ah’s it and then announces in chat to quickly buy it- and without looking properly the player purchases it due to it being a low price on ah thinking it is a major item.
    > An example would include a player saying in chat: ‘selling this boost gem for one star!’ and then auctioning the boost gem for 10 million stars instead. Another example would be that a player lists a skydrop on ah and announces in chat that ‘a boost gem in on ah for 10,000 stars!’ and so a player rushes to buy the ‘boost gem’ to find that it was a skydrop with a high price tag.
    > #1 - Warning
    > #2 - 1d Ban
    > #3 - 3d Ban

    Server Advertisements
    > Talking about servers MAY be allowed depending on the conversation or context, however sharing direct server IPs, links or platforms will not be allowed.

    > We like to keep skybounds exclusive and isolated from other servers and thus should not allow our community to share other servers (pvpwars may be allowed, as our owners own pvpwars HOWEVER we still do not want our community sharing the server IP, discord links, forums links etc).

    > If another player asks, you may send them another server’s information via pm’s. HOWEVER, if you are found spamming it, or giving it to players who did not request it- you will be punished for your actions.
    > An example would be that a player sends another server's IP in global chat, this will result in a punishment. Similar to if a player sends another server’s official discord link into our discord or server.
    > #1 - 7d Mute
    > #2 - 30d Mute

    Verbal Threats
    > Verbal Abuse and Death Threats have recently merged together to form just Verbal Threats. Any threats that seem alarming or an overall out-of-game threat, you will be removed immediately from our community. We want our community to have a safe space and will continue to feel safe when on all of our platforms, we do not stand for any type of threat.
    > An example would be that you threaten a player’s life due to losing your temper about being killed in the warzone, even though in the moment you made the comment and most likely do not mean it- you still have said and and must understand the effect it may have on the person you threatened.
    > #1 - 3d Mute
    > #2 - 7d Mute
    > #3 - 30d Mute
    > #4 - Perm Mute

    ===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===
    Tier 3 Punishments
(SrMod's can give these punishments to players)

    Admitting To Duping
    > Admitting to duping can mean anything from jokes, to saying what dupe you are using, or you telling players in private that you are duping. Admitting to duping should not be allowed on the server at all even as a joke, as it's a serious offence and a major rule for us to enforce.

    > Admitting to duping is looked upon similarly to our duping offence, as both equal to an unfair advantage for players and a major risk to the server. Any type of joke made about duping or admitting to duping may be re-reviewed and the punishment length shortened though depending on what was said, the context and the overall situation.
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    Bug Abuse Low Offence
    > Using any type of bug or feature that is not meant to be in the game can be viewed as abusing and will often allow you to have an unfair advantage in game play, you are knowingly abusing a bug that should not be in-game and will be held responsible for your actions.

    > This is not allowed as said bug or feature should have never been in the game to begin with and this is why we require our community to report any type of feature or aspect they believe to be a bug. So that the management team can test appropriately and have our developer fix anything that should NOT be ingame.
    > An example would be; seeing someone report a bug in global and then acting upon it to test it, upon finding that the bug works- you continue to use it to make an illegitimate profit.

    Such things can include:
-Using Knockback as it is currently bugged.
-Freezing your minecraft client in the void of warzone.
-Block glitching in warzone to gain advantage.
    -Armor stacking/logging issue.
    > #1 - Warning
    > #2 - 1d Ban
    > #3 - 3d Ban
    > #4 - 7d Ban

    DDOS Threats
    > DDOS threats are ‘achieving or threatening a DOSS attack where compromised systems are used to target a single system causing them a denial of service attack. This is both against our server’s rules and is illegal in most countries and hence treated very seriously.
    > An example would include that you log onto the server and dislike the new season, and so threaten to hack into the server and close it using DDOS.
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    DOX Threats
    > DOXX threats are when you obtain private information about a person illegally on the internet to use with malicious intent, this is both against our server’s rules and is illegal in most countries and hence treated very seriously.
    > An example would include you getting angry at a player for killing you in the warzone and so you threaten to find their home address and send it in global chat.
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    Inappropriate Builds
    > We ask players to keep builds on islands appropriate to our server. To note: Dance Clubs/Night Clubs are allowed to be built. The Owner is held responsible, unless the player is actively building it- then both the owner and player will be punished.

    > These builds can be extremely offensive, sensitive topics and in some cases harmful depending on what is built. Those found building such things will be punished accordingly. Owner is held responsible, unless the player is actively building it- then both the owner and player will be punished.
    > Examples include but are not limited to: Any island builds that resembles discriminatory, racial, homophobic, terrorism, or any other majorly offensive topics will not be tolerated at all.
    > #1 - 3d Ban
    > #2 - 7d Ban
    > #3 - 14d Ban

    > Certain clan names that either reflect serious inappropriate incidents such as terrorist groups, well-known historical events or in general an inappropriate theme/group on the internet.

    > These may include but are not limited to: Pornographic content, Discriminatory content, Sensitive topics. We also do not allow media advertising within the name.
    > An example would include any reference of a porn star, a sensitive self harm/murder case, any statements or quotes that promote violence or well known people that have those standards (Hitler, terrorist groups, Rapists etc).
    > #1 - 3d Ban
    > #2 - 7d Ban
    > #3 - 14d Ban

    Inappropriate IGN
    > Profiles names on all platforms need to remain appropriate, meaning they should not contain explicit, sensitive or politically sensitive content.
    > These may include but are not limited to: Pornographic content, Discriminatory content, Sensitive topics. An example would include any reference of statements or quotes that promote violence or well known people that portray those standards and life styles.
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    Inappropriate Island Information
    > Any content that promotes your island or can be viewed by public (island name, status/description etc) must remain appropriate by skybounds standards. We allow they use of inside jokes, 'touchy' or 'on the line' statements or views to be used however the use of any majorly inappropriate incident/name/label shall not be used under any circumstance.
    > These may be subjected to but not limited to: Discriminatory, majorly sexual, highly sensitive subjects (well known historical events: concentration camps, Vietnam war, terrorist attacks etc).
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    Inappropriate Links
    > Any links connected to pornographic websites, discriminatory or malicious sites are not prohibited. Any links connected to scamming, fraud, IP grabbing or discord crashing/overloading are not prohibited and will be dealt with accordingly.

    > Any link that a staff member cannot verify will immediately be removed and the player will be punished accordingly due to the high risk a link may carry when in use by an unknowing community member. Anyone punished for this should appeal in order to discuss the permanent punishment and to explain why they were posting such links in global chats.
    > An example includes that you want to prank the community, and so post a seemingly innocent link that then opens up to a sexually explicit video- this video may be removed and you may be punished depending on where the link leads and how the link/embed presents itself within the chat.
    > #1 - Perm Mute

    Inappropriate Skin
    > Profiles skins or capes need to remain appropriate, meaning they should not contain explicit, sensitive or politically sensitive content. These may include but are not limited to: Pornographic content, Discriminatory content, Sensitive topics. We also do not allow media advertising within the cape or skin.
    > An example would include any reference of any statements or quotes that promote violence or well known people that have those standards (Any explicit: breasts, private areas, discriminatory marks etc).
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    Unfair Advantage
    > Use of clients, resource packs, or any program/modification that modify your gaming experience in a way that would give you an unfair advantage over the rest of the player base, against other players or staff will result in immediate removal from our platform.
    > Examples include but is not limited to: AFK mining, scripting/botting, holding mouse down to afk-mine, or any mouse hardware that includes an auto clicker or macros other than chat macros, pvp-hacks, flight-hacks etc.
    > #1 - 7d Ban
    > #2 - 30d Ban
    > #3 - Perm Ban

    ===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===
    Tier 4 Punishments
(HeadMod's can give these punishments to players)

    Accessory to Hacking
    > Accessory to hacking is where you team with a hacker, aid a hacker or overall give an island and be friendly to a hacker. This however can be worrying for a player if they did not know a player was hacking and hence why we do an extensive search first before removing any players.

    > Anyone that is found inviting known hackers to their island to help aid them with kits, pvp items or money etc can be also held responsible alongside the hackers that we catch. If you are also found teaming with hackers in the warzone or can be found in the same clan/connected to them via /alts- you can also be held responsible.
    > An example would include seeing a hacker in warzone and clearly hacking, instead of /reporting you team with the hacker and use them to gather items for you (or vice versa).
    > #1 - 7d Ban
    > #2 - 30d Ban
    > #3 - Perm Ban (Appealable)

    Constant Toxicity
    > Anyone found breaking rules that do not all under another category may be punished for this if they continue to argue, cause issues or ignore staff requests to stop. This punishment will only be used after multiple staff warnings or other attempts to stop a player from creating issues and being rude within chat.

    > An example is that you are being rude and disrespectful, you are ignoring staff warning and becoming more and more worse with what you are saying.
    > #1 - 3d Mute
    > #2 - 7d Mute
    > #3 - 14d Mute

    Evading DDOS Threats
    > Anyone found directly connected to other players with this punishment will be removed depending on the circumstance and the evidence we have. If you are found to be punished with this, you will need to appeal to have the punishment revoked or shortened.
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    Evading DOX Threats
    > Anyone found directly connected to other players with this punishment will be removed depending on the circumstance and the evidence we have. If you are found to be punished with this, you will need to appeal to have the punishment revoked or shortened.
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    IRL Soliciting
    > We do not allow the advertising of selling / trading server related goods for IRL or other community material. Anyone that is found selling or attempting to trade off Skybounds specific resources for IRL related goods will be removed from the community. This also goes for anyone soliciting materials from other third party providers for IRL goods and services. Buying or attempting to rent the use of a minecraft account on our platforms counts as ‘IRL Soliciting’.
    > An example would include you wanting to get a lootcrate and so offer hypixel skyblock items to then trade for a lootcrate on skybounds. This is one possibility of IRL Soliciting, out of the many listed above.
    > #1 - 7d Ban
    > #2 - 30d Ban
    > #3 - Perm Ban

    Scamming High Offence
    > Anyone found scamming for buycraft/store items or mass insiding/mass items will be punished further however will require substantially more evidence to prove that this player has indeed attempted to scam others multiple times or for mass profit.

    > That being said, you are responsible for your own island. We advise not inviting any user to your island that you do not know or trust, and to only use the main methods of trade (Ah, /trade) or ensure to record a communal agreement on the trade and then the trade itself.
    > You will need a lot of evidence to prove a player has scammed you, and may also require any evidence of the accused player admitting to their actions. However, only the CM/Admins may handle these cases and we deem what is ‘Major’ when reviewing the case, we have a right to turn the report down if we feel it is not a big enough situation to have us then step in and handle.
    > #1 - 7d Ban
    > #2 - 14d Ban
    > #3 - 30d Ban

    ===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===
    Tier 5 Punishments
(Admin's+ can give these punishments to players)

    Bug Abuse High Offence
    > Abusing exploits means using any type of bug or unintentional game aspect to your advantage. An exploit or bug used within the server that is of unintentional design, to gain any advantage over other community members, is seen as an unfair advantage and is not allowed.

    > Using any type of bug or feature that is not meant to be in the game can be viewed as abusing and will often allow you to have an unfair advantage in game play, you are knowingly abusing a bug that should not be in-game and will be held responsible for your actions.
    > An example would be; seeing someone report a bug in global and then acting upon it to test it, upon finding that the bug works- you continue to use it to make an illegitimate profit.

    Such things can include:
-Using lag to attempt to dupe items.
-Creating lag machines or attempting to abuse the proxy connections.
    -Dupe machines
    -Money Exploits
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    Excessive Banned Alts
    > Anyone using a VPN or sharing accounts with players who are potentially connected to other banned accounts may also be banned, due to them now being linked to mass banned or otherwise malicious accounts.
    > Whilst we do not have a set limit of banned accounts you are allowed to be connected to, if it is mass/connected to multiple high-offence banned players- you will be removed and will need to appeal in order to discuss why you are connected to them and to verify you are indeed not those listed players.
    > #1 - Perm Ban (Appealable)

    Excessive Punishment Violations
    > Formally known as '1+ Page Of Mutes', we have edited this punishment slightly to cover both mutes and bans. If you have a certain amount of violations on your record from recent time you will be punished for a longer period of time due to the growing record you have created.

    > This punishment is to deter players from breaking the rules as the punishment offences for this punishment are rather large and thus ensures players are not keen on breaking rules consistently to cause issues.
    > #1 - 30d Mute
    > #2 - 60d Mute
    > #3 - 90d Mute
    > #4 - Perm Mute

    Evading Bug Abuse High Offence
    > Evading any major 'Bug Abuse High Offense' punishment (such as duping, exploits, eco issues etc) will lead you to be banned on ALL connected accounts and this falls under the use of VPN and IP changes too.
    > #1 - Perm Ban

Evading Unfair Advantage 2 & Evading Unfair Advantage 3
    > Evading Unfair Advantage 2 & 3 on an alternative account will cause the account to be removed from the server for the same time period as the offence number. This is to stop mass hackers, those who are using hacking to an advantage or in general- those who wish to keep breaking rules, and stop them from coming onto our server.
    Evading Unfair Advantage 2
    > #1 - 30d Ban

    Evading Unfair Advantage 3
    > #1 - Perm Ban

    Inappropriate Comments
    > Inappropriate Comments can be considered either Sexual and explicit talk, excessive and continuous inappropriate behavior, and whilst inappropriate language may be used in most cases, those severe enough will fall under this category instead.
    > An example would include you discussing your sexual life, and being rather explicit about it. Any talk on sex, drugs, sensitive topics will be reviewed and either asked to stop discussing or ask to move away from the topic currently being spoken on.
