    These are a few ideas I have had for season 4, number 1, 2, and 3 are ideas from PvPwars that I really liked.

    This post has some general ideas and some ideas if the server will remain like Season 3, with collections and all. I am going to try to make a post about suggestions if the server reverts back to how Season 1 and 2 were.

    Please vote at the top with whichever ideas you agree with.

    1) Pets -
    (a) Pet Leveling -
    This was there in Skybounds Season 1, where as you used a pet more, the pet's ability would become better. This was good since you had to first get the pet, and then you had to spend quite some time leveling it.
    (b) Pet Trading - In Season 1, the pet leveling was there, but you could not trade pets to others. I feel it would be better if you could level up pets, and then sell them. Would add a nice change to the economy.
    (c) New Pets - I've liked some pets from PvPwars, like the horse and experience pet. XP Pet gives more xp, horse pet lets u ride a horse. Maybe horse pet could be a warzone pet that had a 10 minute cooldown and it spawns a horse for 30 seconds. And the horse can be killable otherwise it may be OP in PvP.

    2) Quests - While Season 3 had a completely new approach towards Skybounds, I felt there was very little onboarding(which is basically teaching the basics of the server). Maybe add more quests, not like the bell quest and blood vials. But more quests that explain how the server works. For example, a miner npc that gives quest may first ask the player to go mine a certain amount of cobblestone for him. And then may ask them to craft a stone pickaxe and tell them that they need a certain collection to craft it. Currently I feel the only way people learn how to play the server is by guides on the forums or by asking in chat. And quests may be a better way for players to learn.

    3) Custom Mobs - I've really liked the custom mobs in season 3, but I feel that maybe we need more custom mini-bosses and all. Such as the goblin, spider, and shaman dude. But there should be 2 types of mini-bosses, one is the boss egg type, and one should be a randomly spawning one, like once every day. An example is that there is a boss arena thing near fire demons, and once a day, at a random time, a boss spawns there and people fight it, and maybe it has its own set and all, or it gives a legendary warzone loot item to the top 5 damagers.

    4) Money Making - Keep in mind, this is not a hate thread of factories, and this is an idea for season 4. So right now, the best money making methods are autofarms and factories. Maybe make it so autofarms and factories act as a way to get materials automatically, but not as a money making method. IMO grinding and trading should be more focused on. Maybe make it so that materials from factories and autofarms are not sellable. And maybe to compensate, add more custom recipes that require some automated materials, and some materials only obtainable by grinding, example: slayer drops, so this can encourage a mix of grinding and automating. Right now I believe slaying gives very few coins, a stack of spider eyes, which is a drop from creeper jockeys, gives 22.4k per stack, which is VERY less.

    5) Skills - IMO we need more skills
    (a) Taming(Hypickle) - Maybe add this if Pet Leveling is added
    (b) Craftsmanship
    - As you craft more eco/util items, this skill slowly levels up, max level of 25, and as you level it up, you gain a small sell price boost, maybe 0.1% per level, so max level gives a 2.5% boost.
    (c) Enchanting - For every 1500 books (number can change obv) you buy from /enchant, your overall max level boost increases by a bit. This makes it so that as the game transitions into mid/late game, it will become ever so slightly easier to get max level books.

    6) Island Leveling - I feel that just having to spend stars is not the best way to do island leveling. I feel there should be a communal collection for every island which is just the collections of each island member summed together, and the value for each collection depends on the max number of people who have been on that island. So for solos it'll be one, but for big teams, even if they kick everyone, it will be 20-30, so this wouldn't benefit teams more than solos. And for leveling your island, you would need at least 500k mining collection, at least 50k slayer collection, etc.

    7) Skills rework - I feel that one should not just be able to buy an obsidian pickaxe for like 1-2m and then be able to mine almost any ore. I feel instead it should be that you must have a certain collection unlock to not only craft the pickaxe, but to even use that pickaxe. This will mean that to use a high tier tool, you need to have grinded a bit of all the previous collections. Example: To mine skystone, one will need an obsidian pickaxe, but to use it, they need 500 obsidian collection, so they need to get an emerald pickaxe, but they need 500 emerald collection to use that, and this goes all the way to wooden pickaxe with cobble collection. This will help prevent people just focusing one exact collection and instead be more rounded in a certain skill.

    8) Crafting - Maybe for eco/util crafting, bring back the season 2 ways, where you needed a certain level, and the crafting recipe unlocked to craft it. But decrease the xp needed since last season to max the crafting skill, the best method was to craft a lot of fire blast spells, which would then be voided. And if the custom recipes like tools and armor sets are kept, then those items can also give xp towards the crafting skill.


    Also wanted to add that at the start we were told that this season would take at least a year for a team to max their island, and that was something I felt was needed. Having 1 long full year season is better than many shorter seasons.

    8. Crafting - at the beginning of the season, it seemed a big pain to have to have each member unlock the recipes they wished to craft, but over the season, it has definitely grown on me. I like being able to craft things without having to be on our island. I also think this works well due to the many other crafted items, such as gem stones, which are personally unlocked by players.

    I'll probably write more later, but it is late and I am tired.

I like being able to craft things without having to be on our island. I also think this works well due to the many other crafted items, such as gem stones, which are personally unlocked by players.
    What I meant was that you can be anywhere, and the crafting recipe books are individual, but you need a certain crafting level to use the book.

    i was thinking about this too but i thought maybe there could be like an opt out / in option for the island members and then the required amount could be distributed among the opted in members And if someone decides to opt back in then they have to reach the amount as well so they cant just piggyback or instead of opting in/out the required amount just be a total that the island needs to have done, not specifically by each member but like say the total is 50k, then someone can have 1k and someone else could have 49k and it would unlock it, idk if golem was taking that approach or not or if he just was thinking like 50k divided by each member ?

    Its total, so one person can have all the collection, that is why its fine for teams, since teams usually have 1 person focusing 1 collection

    i really like the collection rework and pets idea, I think they'd be great additions to the server however I don't agree that you should be able to sell pets but overall +1

    I love the idea of the custom mobs, having more mobs that are harder to fight/drop better loot would be a nice addition for following seasons.

    The part about Quests in interesting too, in S1 we had a lot of quests that we needed to do to even complete the campaign challenges, adding in a few more of those that take place all throughout the server (spawn, wz, market, grinding islands) would give players a little something more to do once the challenges are all done.

    One thing I will add is I really enjoyed the parkour aspect in S1, it was fun to be able to do the parkours daily and get a small reward for doing them, and these rewards were sometimes pretty worth it. I know a lot of players didn't like having them part of the campaign challenges, but even having them as just a fun thing to do would be a nice change and depending on how hard they are, can possibly give players the chance for some decent loot.

    Ooo I like the ideas! They’d be nice for s4 so I hope they get implemented! It would definitely be cool if you made more money grinding rather than from automation.

    honestly i feel like change are much needed, i myself am a collector. I would love to see more admin items/ just collectables in general. Also, i loved slayer on sb1 if something like this would be implemented i would be filled with joy! Also challenges and quests are an awesome idea. I loved doing my dailies and doing competitions.

    I want to see more aspects of S2 brought back. I’d love to have the current ore seeds used for factories, but also having the old ore seeds for manual grinding on island, to make resources more accessible to teams with fewer people. Having similar limits to what we had last season on these things would make sense also. I also loved the daily challenges, as well as having the old challenge system. I love the collections, but having challenges to work on that give you rewards rather than unlocks was really fun

    Honestly quests are what I'm all about, as well as skills and custom crafting. I want grinding to pay off incrementally so the more you grind one thing, the more you get out of it + you could get bonus things from it (like if you grinded 100k wheat, you could get a 3x drop bonus and 1.5x custom drop bonus, and then if you grinded 200k wheat, you could get a 4x drop bonus, etc, etc, to where grinding over time is worth it). I really like the ideas presented, but I want to make sure that people can still chat with each other in a separate chat like clans.

    Yeah, as Mel said, all these ideas are well thought out. Really hope the Dev's take a look at this thread and implement them next season :)
