Maybe not remove, but atleast severely nerf it. Because even Scyflings players gotta agree that it is mainly just afking all the alt islands now. It should still exist imo, but be more like the mining and egg factories, where the items you put in are used up.

Some is an understatement in my opinion. Atleast for my island, it has just become an afk game for us, and coming back every so often and upgrading some factories.
We don’t use ours like that at all. We are still actively playing every day.

One of the main resasons you don't like factories is the other leading teams are catching up on you. Your previous progress ahead of other teams are slowly being caught up on and you're losing your advantage on other teams.
hi wifey! So basically the progress that we got by grinding our asses off should be beaten by just being able to afk 20 alt islands.

factories are a grind, royals has as much opportunity to catch up and level up factories as Scythlings have been, manual grinding was neat in the beginning but even I, who haven't grinded/maxed out collections is just bored. Factories is a nice addition where you can just chill, replaces a bunch of the demotivation to grind literally 10's of thousands of farming crops, mining ores, or even worse, slaying mobs, which is by far the worst skill.

The alternative to factories is spawners or farms, already heavily automated processes that now due to nerfs in the gains of seeds and spawners, will almost require a heavy cash injection from players to see real gains in these. These methods already existed and are a large part of big islands today.
Another point on top of this, is that the way to make money was already afk, and other afk things like magma blocks and butcher blades were added in to make spawner grinding more effective. This is already the #1 way for a big island to make money outside of factories.

I 100% agree with the idea that factories are ruining the eco. I have a personal island with some facs, and granted they aren't in the most efficient layout, but I can make upwards of 7.5m in 2 hours by doing nothing. The top islands will be doing the same thing - afking their factories for 2 hours, but with a much higher payout. Something does need to be done to fix the eco. Yes, I may be a part of royals but the idea of the factories being endless once you have them maxed has never really sat right with me. It has completely ruined the economy as prices have skyrocketed - leaving lower level players demotivated and feeling really behind compared to everyone. Yes, this was also the case before but being able to mass produce everything in endless factories is wack and should be at least nerfed in some way.

The counter to keep factories
Why not make it so that seeds and saplings are based similarly to the way mining facs and slayer facs? As in, when you put the seeds and saplings in, they eventually expire. You also have the chance to get a seed/sapling output from this, as you would if you were to do it manually, which reinstates the grind as you have to continually get seeds and saplings to make sure your factories aren't empty. I am aware golem said something similar to this above, but I was discussing it on Discord before he posted.
Another idea from @LitNothin was to add the need for a green thumb gemstone for seeds and a respawning gemstone for saplings to guarantee seed/sapling drops or to keep the sole factories replenished - however the gemstone would expire after some time, meaning you would need to get the stuff to make another one.
In my personal opinion, I believe this would make things fairer, as you are not just able to sit afk all day and come back to tons of money - you will have to continually check up on your facs to ensure things aren't running low.

Honestly factories are good as they are right now, if you want to get big gains you will still have to invest into the factories. as the season progressses the money needed to be spent on upgrades/island upgrades gets higher and higher ,but with the help of factories it stays balanced. Factories arent pulling money from thin air cuz u still need to invest money into the factories to produce money more quick

factories werent really a huge grind, u just need some money to begin with, like 5m, and then place factories with seeds, which top islands had tons of since we saved up ant farms and all

factorier are a grind sure but once you grinded a bit it’s infinite fast money for doing nothing, that’s ridiculous for a season where manual grinding was supposed to be the priority.

the way mining/egg machines work are balanced but woodcutting and farming is just infinite supply with seeds.. maybe if seeds/sappling in machines drained eventually it would be more balanced

yea, factories are too op, as im only a trusted member of my island it is impossible to keep up with the amount of money that managers and higher can get.
This isn’t really an issue for our team as we all share our resources. But also, I think think since we trust everyone so much, all our team members are manager and above.

Y'all are complaining about how "everything" is automated now. You forget that to get to a level where factories are useful, you need strategic planning, you need to GRIND to get collections, to unlock stuff. Just because theres automation doesnt mean it needs to be removed. Factories have helped out so many smaller players/teams make money. Removing them would be a punch to the gut.

Suggesting that factories be removed is the equivalent of asking y'all to stop spending irl money on the game. So in my opinion, I think someone's scared. 😉
Nah it’s that istop shouldn’t be decided by who can make more alt islands with factories and afk them. 😁

Well golem, if you had tons of seeds, y'all should really plan out what upgrades you spend your money on. This is fair game. Everyone has as much an opportunity as we do. The ONLY reason this post was made is because you guys are worried that we'll overtake you. Despite you guys spending hundreds of dollars on the game. You see this as a loss, we see this as a chance to get ahead, one that we've wanted for a while now.

I think bigger clans making tons of money from them might be discouraging to smaller clans tho. They might feel as if they can’t keep up.

It’s a great idea for lower level players to gain money, but once you get a comfortable amount of seeds there’s almost no grinding left to do. You could change the rate/amount of seeds allowed in a factory to go along with the level of the seeds so that the higher level seeds are still better, but not 100x

Unfortuantly itll always be that way pqlar, on any server- the bigger the clan the easier/better they are in the game due to all the support/help they then get from each member in said clan. This is one point of automation since the community complained about how grindy the server was and how hard it was to make money.

Elliot theres still a lot of grinding left to do, ch's, trophies, making the island bigger and better and making compact items etc for crafting- this is one small aspect of a massive game.

I disagree with this. Everyone had the same chance and opportunity as us in the beginning. Y’all messed up with planning and are struggling from it. Factories are great and it is new to the game of skyblocks and I like them. It was a great idea.

Can I remind you royals members about fishing in season 2 where y’all made a ton of money and got ahead because y’all would sell the fish. And you guys were like “you all had the same chance as us blah blah blah”. Y’all much just be scared of something of losing istop 1.
Also if they got rid of factories how would the players get back the money they spent on them?

Smaller teams complaining about factories? Getting discouraged? Am I actually reading these "totally" valid points? Mate, smaller islands BENEFIT off of factories is it let's them keep up with the economy and inflation. I've yet to see any smaller team complain about factories.

Outstanding post. I 100% agree that this measure must be taken! With factories, Royals can no longer maintain superiority but instead will fall into the metacarpus of Scyflings. Action must be appropriated as the economy and many lives will be ravaged from the very existence of our Earth. In doing so, I along with fellow players of this association implore those with influence towards the development of the server to start the movement. The eradication of factories is imperative as other islands, much more nimble than Royals themself will take a competitive advantage, overwhelming them as island levels climb, soaring to what is most prized... level 100.

As stated by the infamous Moo, manual grinding is vital, as most of Royals do not have jobs nor lives and will be on, slaving away to reach a number shown on a screen. This is my opinion... those in power, please take note of this and act cautiously as one wrong movement may be the end all.
