Explanation of your Entry:
Firstly, I had to spend countless hours to research exactly what happened in independence day because I am a brit and apparently we don't get taught this.

Anyways, when Independence was decelared from the British there were many people who were factors of the independence. In my opinion George Washington (The 1st President of the United States from 1789 to 1797.)

I believe he is the most important because he lead the Patriot forces to victory in the nation's War for Independence. In 1884 the United States decided the build a monument called the Washington Monument. This massive construction project started 1848 and officially ended in 1884.

Every year when Independence day comes along, The Washington monument is surrounded with many firework celebrating the freedom that one man helped to succeeded to claim.

I have drawn the washington monument as well as some little drawings.
